After days of flashing around my almost torn-into-pieces-only handbag I started to feel sorry for myself and decided it was time to move on. It wasn’t really because I fancied so much of that bag. It was really about containing myself from worldly desires where spending money on fashion items is felt a lot easier than earning some. Not to mention that the cash has been strained more these days as our main goal is to refocus and clear up our credit card bills.
So there I was, walking around the mall looking for a handbag that is easy on the eyes and of course, easy on my account. Being unfussy, non-brand-minded person finding a handbag for my daily operation shouldn’t be that hard, right?
Probably not that hard.
Nevertheless I love to perceive the malls as a battlefield where I fight the ridiculous prices and win the battle by getting a great item on the best possible price available. It’s the after-feeling that I crave. When I win the battle, it’s like a hello lit above my head and the universe sings the winning tune gloriously.
You can win it too. All you need to do is apply these 5 rules to smart shopping and you will open the gate to the shopping victory:
1. Do your homework
Every successful job comes with a great planning. Do your homework to make sure you get what you want that is equally what you need. Check out the various online shops to see the price range, the designs, the color and all.
Don’t push it if you are not sure about anything like the price, the design, the quality, etc. More importantly, wait until you have the cash to buy.
3. Take your time
When you are going to make a purchase, do not do it on the day you are in a rush. You need to do it at leisure so that you can explore all your options before getting the right one. Sometimes at a mall, the individual outlet offers better price or bigger discount with better varieties than those at the department store.
4. Fit it well
Don’t just pay and leave. Pick up the samples and try them out properly. If you are buying shoes, try to walk in them so that you know whether they are comfortable.
5. No looking back
After you have made a purchase, leave soon. Never ever, even in the name of curiosity, you look for a comparison at other store. Do this before you buy, not after. Else, regret is on the way.
How about you? What’s your tips to smart shopping?
