A Refreshing Staycation at Swiss belresidences Kalibata

There is something sweet lingers in my heart whenever I am reminded of Kalibata. It’s where I spent half of my senior high school time as I used to take my English course in that area. In the final year before I moved out of town for college, I spent it more with my best friends and hmm.. my high school crush.

Ok. Not that it’s important. Moving on.

Kalibata has changed a lot since the last time I could remember. There were now series of apartment buildings close by the mall and, of course the Swiss belresidences. With location just right at the opposite to the train station, I would say that this hotel has easy access and perfect for a staycation within the city.

Featuring 212 guest rooms with categories such as Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, Executive Deluxe, Executive Grand Deluxe and Executive Suite, and also well-equipped meeting facilities Swiss belresidences Kalibata offers a comfortable stay for every business and leisure travelers. Hence I gladly welcomed the chance to give it a try for a short family getaway last weekend.

It was my second visits to the hotel, and every time I would be amazed by the coolness and green ambience of the lobby lounge. The hanging plants, high ceilings and modern furniture blend together that is soothing to the mood. I don’t mind spending hours there to just contemplate.

Despite having had to wait for the room to be ready due to system down, I was pleased with the friendliness and attentiveness the reception provided. My requests were swiftly met in less fuss.

As it is a 4 stars hotel, I didn’t expect too much about the room features. I stayed in a Deluxe room with a city view. No bath tub in the room though, which I think was okay considering its main target is probably business people or corporates who won’t have time for lazying in the tub. I am not the kind of bath tub person either anyway. But I have to mention this, that the rain shower was awesome and at the right pressure.

There were two swimming pools for the guests who want to have some leisure time. One, which was smaller, was on the 5th floor. This was my favorite as it was under the roof hence no possibility of Sunburn. The bigger one was outdoor at the ground level, where you could bask in the Sun with your book or loved ones.

The one thing remarkable from the hotel was the food. Not because I love food in general but seriously, it was exceptionally good, talking about taste and portion. It was very clear to me that the Chef took his cuisines by the heart and he has successfully made my tummy happy through out.

During dinner, I looked at J and told him that I wished we could stay longer. The atmosphere caught me into holiday mood and I couldn’t help to not craving for more. I mean, who would refuse a chance of not having to wake up early at weekend and be pampered in and out?

Swiss belresidences Kalibata is quite new and a working project with rooms for improvement. I believe the team would come up with more exciting things in years to come.
