On Monday I promised myself that I would exercise by the end of this week. So when Saturday arrived, I knew what I wanted to do.
8am and the sky was gloom. But not my mood. I clapped my hands and announced to the boys who were lazing on the couch watching TV, “let’s swim!”. They were thrilled; jumped in excitement. They haven’t quite mastered the art of floating in a pool but water, they love so much.
The good thing about this apartment is that three blocks of 22 stories building surround the common pool. It buys a good amount of time until the Sun catches our shadow just around noon. For the next three hours we got really serious into swimming. J and I took turn to coach the kids and then I did few laps.
Afternoon we were off to meet my brother in law who came for a day trip with his wife. Spent the rest of the days with them until evening and we were back to our nest.
The whole thing was a mind-refresher to me as I have been busy running my handmade business the past weeks. It’s good to have a distraction like this. Sometimes in order to move two steps ahead you need to take one step back.
That’s what I did today. Relaxing.
What did you do today?
