On Saturday I went to K and little A’s school for a one on one meeting with their teacher. They have just finished the first term so it was now the time for their academic report.
Both have made a good progress. K even made it to the big 5, although the school doesn’t apply that kind of ranking system actually, but K’s total score put him in the top 5. He has no disturbing behavior, is good to his friends and teachers, listens to instructions and his confidence is improving. He scores 100s in couple of subjects!
Little A is also showing a good progress. Compared to his first few days at school when he was aloof, didn’t want to interact with other kids, felt uncomfortable to excuse himself to the restroom (which ended up in wet pants couple of times), little A is now a different person. He interacts with his classmates, pays attention to the teacher’s instruction, has more confidence to answer questions and he is definitely starting to enjoy the school fun.
It was indeed kind of weird to listen to all the good comments from their teachers, considering they fight each other consistently at home. Even their grandma is damn sure that they are too naughty (..sigh..).
But the teacher told me that it was normal if brothers fight over toys at home. They knew because they had been hearing parents tell them this all the time. So they knew it happened almost in every family with two or more boys.
All that pretty much have made my weekend.
Afternoon walk with the boys on Sunday was the perfect closure to the awesome weekend.
I wish you all a great weekend too!
