The beginning of 2014 sees me fall into another long distant marriage as J took a new job on a different island. This was actually the reason why we spent our year end holiday trip in Bintan. Yes Bintan is going to be our second home from now on until the time has come when we all join him there and make it our home (before we finally find the place to settle down for good ha!).
In the mean time this situation makes me have to drive myself to work. It was so easy back then because J used to just drop me right in front of the entrance gate so I didn’t have to walk far in my heel. But now I have to walk down 2 to 3 floors of the parking lot every day and it is definitely a torture to my feet.
The other day I started thinking that maybe I needed to put on my sneakers and made the walk like a routine exercise. I may loose weight for this 😛
That’s why I am so thankful for a chair placed in front of the elevator in the basement. That chair doesn’t actually belong there but someone has placed it there to sit down while waiting for the elevator going down from 29th floor. A long time that is!
When I am lucky I can have that chair for myself and get a few minutes soothing break for my leg. Otherwise, everyday is a heel hangover for me.
There are so many ways to sooth a heel hangover. Here are few of them that you can do at home too:
Stretch your legs, lift them up and rest them on a wall.
*Do this while laying on your bed, listening to your favorite music. So relaxing!
Soak your leg in a luke warm water filled with soothing bath salt or used tea bag.
Pamper them with a superb foot massage.
Take a break from your heel routine and turn to sneakers instead.
