After almost over 13 years of getting to know the internet world, 8 years of becoming close friends and for the past 5 years becoming up, close and personal, motivation to blog and to work my business up isn’t always strong back here. There are times when my motivation is up and I will work ten times harder, 24/7 non-stop and there are times when I just need to stop, burned out and exhausted.
In times like that I refuse to go down deeper. I choose to recharge and bounce back. Of course when lazy evil has come around and teased you days and nights it is hard to get up and work again. Sometimes the comfortable bed, warm blanket and soft pillow seems too good to pass. So here are my ways to get my motivation back:
I read everything. From newspaper, magazine to self-motivation book, I just read. You can’t dismiss how much inspiration you can get from these materials.
Blogwalking is not only about reading, but to get to know the person behind the scene: the blogger. What they’ve been up to and their attitude are easily showing on the way they blog. I learn so much just from one day of blogwalking.
It means recharging the energy. On hard working days I don’t get enough sleep. My engine normally runs until 2 a.m. and every day my routine begins at 5.30. So when I think I am burned out, I just take some measure to drop everything else and go to bed by 10.
4. Watching TV
My favorite show? New Girls! Jess and Nick always make me laugh and they remind me of my own love story ha ha. I also love to watch The Opener, Top Chef, The Amandas, Kimora lee and everything on Style and Lifestyle Channel. I even love watching Bizzare Food just to be disgusted with those foods shown.
5. Play with the kids
Playing tickle, or singing together is enough to make my mood back on track. On blue days I love to take the kids around in the car, but in most times I end up feeling miserable because they just can’t stop fighting at the back (grrrhhh). But when things go smoothly, the trip is fun and fulfilling.
And that’s a wrap. Will you share your tips on how to motivate yourself back?
