Be Grateful and Welcome the February

Be Grateful and Welcome the February
February 2, 2013 CuteCoco

I must say that January has been magical to me. Somehow in the last two weeks I got so many visits from people that I haven’t seen face to face since so long ago or even ever. First was my old friend whom I met in New Delhi, India eight years ago and have never met again until two weeks ago. Second was my former colleague from my previous workplace whom I have never met in person but we make friends through Facebook, twitter, emails and Blackberry Messanger. Now she is one of my client in my social media marketing business. Third was my cousin whom I haven’t met since two years ago and she came to formulate our future project together besides holidaying. Fourth was my bestfriend’s mom who was attending her niece’s wedding in my town. My bestfriend is living in Utah right now and I haven’t met her mom since six years ago. The last one was my high school friend who came to handle her client in town as she is now an insurance agent. There is another one also coming in the next week, a friend I knew from another friend who is staying in United States and has never met in person with me.

Somehow with so many bless like that I feel that God is planning something good for me and I am really grateful for all the opportunity given to me during the past weeks whether it was meeting my old and new friends, selling my ebook or just be happy with my business in social media marketing.

Meanwhile Valentine’s day is approaching and I know all business are gearing up with pinks and hearts. I have given a free download of Valentine’s badge along with my first newsletter in January and I really hope the download button is working.

My idea of Valentine’s itself has never been really romantic. As a couple the only time my husband and I really celebrated Valentine with romantic dinner at a fine dining restaurant was four years ago when I was pregnant with K. Other than that, Valentine’s day is just like another day.

Of course from business point of view Valentine’s day means money. Right now I am working with a friend to launch her cookies and cakes range on Valentine’s day. I am helping her to design the packaging, the tags and building a strategic plan on how we are going to market the products. We thought of opening a sweets stand on one busy streets but Valentine’s day this month falls on Wednesday. It’s a school day. As moms (both of us are) sometimes business bumps with our kids priority and I don’t think opening a stand on school night would be a good idea. So I am still formulating ideas on how we are going to do about it.

People call February as the month of love. I’d say it should be the celebration of love and life because in February there is also a day marked as World Cancer Day which is at the 4th. Maybe it’s a good thing to get both date in the same month because at the end of the day people create awareness for Cancer out of love. And love is what Valentine’s day all about.

How are you going to celebrate Valentine’s day this year?

yeap that’s true. I think it’s kind of reflection for me too that I am all grown up now. I mean, there were days in the past when I would try to find excuses to avoid meeting with old friends, especially if I had never met them in person because I was too afraid I wouldn’t have anything to talk about. Silly huh? Well I am not that kind of person anymore ๐Ÿ˜€

It sounds like you have been blessed with a lot of great visits!

I love February and Valentine’s Day. We don’t do the romance stuff, but I love pink, candy, and hearts! I think I like decorating for it more than anything. My husband wouldn’t let me put up sparkling hearts all over the house any other time of the year lol.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that I added your twitter to one of my giveaways that I have listed today. If you want me to remove you, I will take you off, but why would you want that, right? lol

We don’t do a whole lot. This year I won a GC to Fannie May Chocolates, so I bought all my boys artistic ones that they sell.
