After driving almost five hours here I am sitting in this small hotel room by the Lake Toba spending the weekend with the big family from my husband’s side. The driving was fun, not so much of a traffic, lots of greens and the weather turned up bright and shiny despite gloomy sky and heavy rain in the early morning. I think it was a good day in general.
So because my mood is alright (after couple of shouts to the boys who were trying to break the window glass) I decided to tell you about the seven addictions I have that I love so much I just
don’t want can’t get rid of them.
1. Coffee and everything with cino (cappuccino, frappeccino, mochaccino, whatevercino)
It’s not about trying to stay awake for as long as I can but it’s about the joy of having it. To me coffee is mood booster and energizer. Morning without a cup of coffee makes the entire day ruined. And because I am so used to it, taking it late at night doesn’t make any different to me. I can chose to stay awake or go to sleep.
2. Late Night Sleeps
Somehow I always feel that I am missing something if I don’t stay awake until over midnight. I feel guilty if I have to go to bed early. Many of times I get over slept for keeping the boys company in their room and when I wake up in the morning I just so pissed of myself. Maybe it’s because late nights are the only time of the day when I am for myself. Kids are asleep, husband is asleep, it’s like the ultimate me-time. Eventhough if late night sleep means watching crap movies, I’ll take the chance.
3. Sex and the City
There is only one tv series that doesn’t get me tired of watching it over and over again and it is Sex and the City. I don’t know why but there is something about it that is addictive. Probably because of the fashion, or maybe it’s the sex talk or just simply Carrie Bradshaw (and her hair).
4. All Detective and Crime Scene Investigation Series (CSI, CSI New York, CSI Miami, NCIS, Bones, Castle, Law & Order SVU, Law & Order CI)
They glue my eyes to the screen completely. I am turning into a couch potato when watching these series. But unlike Sex and the City I prefer watching new episodes to the reruns. You know what, I think because I have been watching too much of these I can open my own Private Investigator Service!
Okay, in my opinion the world is divided into three categories: Blackberry, iPhone and the other phone. I can hold myself from picking up my Blackberry while driving but on every red light I just have to check it even for a glance. And I take it everywhere I go including to the bathroom. When I see notifications (messenger, facebook, twitter, emails) line up on it’s screen I feel so excited and if I find less notifications I just feel disappointed. Wacky, I know
6. My Gadget and Internet
Well I am a blogger so I can’t be very far from my gadgets like laptop, iPad and Blackberry, and of course the internet connection. They are my office, my engine, my operating tools. I need them to be around all the time.
Every food will taste delicious (to me) if it has lots of chili. When I say a lot it means the chili should make me sweaty, unable to shut my mouth, tongue outside, smoke runs from my ear, tears flow by my eyes and maybe a bit of loose motion. It is easy to make me lose my appetite. Just remove the chili. No spicy no pain. No pain means no gain.
Do you have heavy addiction on something? Okay I get it if you are addictive to prescription drugs or just any drugs sharing them here could be dangerous but other than that it would be nice to hear from you
